Mobile Tech Expo (MTE) 2027 takes place February 11–13, 2027, in Orlando, Florida. International attendees can follow Education Day workshops and sessions in their own language using a translation app and wireless earbuds, with setup help from the MTE Education Help Desk.

How It Works

  1. Bring wireless earbuds. AirPods or any Bluetooth earbuds that pair with your phone will work. Charge your phone and earbuds before the day starts.

  2. Visit the Education Help Desk. Before your first session, the team will help you download and set up a translation app.

  3. Head to your session. Listen through your earbuds with live translation into your preferred language.

Get Mobile Data Before You Arrive

Translation apps need a data connection, and neither public Wi-Fi nor individual Wi-Fi connections are available in the convention center. The most reliable option is a U.S. SIM card or eSIM, set up before your flight or when you land in Orlando. Your phone must be unlocked to use a U.S. SIM.

Our recommendation: Airalo or Holafly. Buy and install the eSIM while you're still at home, so you have data as soon as you land in the U.S.

Option

Where to get it

Typical cost (USD)

T-Mobile Prepaid US Pass (eSIM)

T-Mobile website or app, or any T-Mobile store

$25 for 7 days, $30 for 10 days, $35 for 14 days; each includes 50GB of 5G data

Prepaid SIM from a major carrier (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon)

Carrier stores, Walmart, Target, and Best Buy near International Drive and the Florida Mall

About $25–$60 for a monthly plan

Travel eSIM (such as Airalo or Holafly)

Online before departure; install by QR code

About $10–$40, depending on data

  • Airport: Options at Orlando International Airport (MCO) are limited, so plan to set up an eSIM before your flight or visit a store in town.

  • Carrier stores: Staff can install the SIM and confirm data works before you leave.

  • What to bring: Your passport, in case the store asks for ID, and a credit card. Some foreign cards may not work at every checkout.

Why You Can't Miss It

Education Day brings mobile detailing, PDR, and window tint techs, shop owners, and industry leaders together for workshops and sessions. Real-time translation means language doesn't stand between international attendees and practical skills they can take back to their business.
